changes
to your address or telephone number?
We
consider communication between Byrd faculty and staff with parents and students
vital to your child’s academic success.
Ways
in which we reach out to parents and students include:
Ø
E-mail.
Ø
Phone calls to home, cell or work
numbers.
Ø
Connect ed phone messages from
Byrd MS and HCPS central office.
Ø
Group mailings from Byrd MS and
HCPS central office which includes report cards, test scores, back to school
letters, technology and transportation information as well as changes to HCPS
policy.
Reporting
address changes is particularly important because your child’s transportation
to and from school is dependant on your address in our electronic data being
current and correct.
HCPS
residency guidelines state “a
child must attend school in the zone/district where he/she resides with a parent
or legal guardian. The parent/legal guardian must report an address change and
provide residency documentation within ten days of their move.”
Transportation services are denied until the address change is reported
and documented with the
Twice
a school year, a hard copy of your child’s Student Information Record is sent
home for your review. This is an
opportunity for you to make corrections as necessary to the address, phone
numbers and contact names assigned by you for your child.
We ask that when corrections are made to your child’s SIR form they are
printed clearly and legibly.
The spring copy of your child’s SIR
will come home for your review with the third marking period interim report the
week of March 15th.
